Smokey-colored barite blades climb up the matrix of the showy piece. The locality for this piece is the Warihuayin Mine, Miraflores, Huanuco Dept., Peru. The overall dimensions are 13 cm wide by 9.1 cm tall by 5.6 cm front to back. The largest blade is 2.5 cm tall by 4.2 cm across and 0.3 cm thick. The main crystals are intact but a few of the smaller ones are damaged, especially around the edges of the piece.
