Alabaster colored quartz and chalcedony matrix host pockets with thin strands of the green-gray colored, hair-like millerite. The overall dimensions are 10 cm wide by 5.5 cm tall by 6.8 cm front to back. The locality is Kaser Quarry, Ollie, Keokuk County, Iowa. The leading edges of the Calcite grouping are contacted. Unfortunately, sometime before we obtained these specimens some bugs got into the pockets and a few of their husks remain though none were seen on this specimen. These cannot be removed without pulling the millerite along with it.
