This is a wonderful piece, featuring a series of clamshell shaped, light orange hued dolomite crystals act as the host for a calcite crystal. The faces of the dolomite have a pearlescent sheen, while the calcite crystal has a very low luster. The measurements for this mineral are 2 cm wide by 2.3 cm tall and 1.7 cm front to back. The locality for this piece is Corydon Stone Co. Quarry, Corydon, Harrison County, Indiana, USA. There are a few nicks here and there along the crystal edges. Ex Richard Heck collection.
