A cluster of golden, scalenohedral calcite crystals sit atop a dark matrix. Purple fluorite cubes cover most of the back of the matrix. This specimen is from the Denton Mine, Cave-in-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois, USA. The fluorite has satin luster. This piece measures overall 9 cm wide by 8.5 cm tall and 4.4 cm front to back. There is damage to this piece in the form of bruising of a few crystal edges and corners. Ex Richard Heck Collection.
