This is a beautiful specimen in which orange vanadinite crystals, some coated by white calcite, are set on a light brooding matrix making for a contrast rich display specimen. This piece is the San Carlos Mine, San Carlos, Municipio de Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico and measures overall 4.9 cm wide by 5.6 tall and 4.5 cm front to back. The largest vanadinite crystals on this specimen have fair to good luster and a saturation of color. Some crystals at the edges of this specimen have damage in the form of minor bashes.
