A thin sheet of matrix is encrusted with small, colorless quartz crystals, which are topped with little, “silvery” galenas, and some large, lustrous, brownish-orange colored sphalerites. The specimen is from the Shuikoushan Ore Field, Changning County, Hengyang Prefecture, Hunan Province, China. The overall dimensions are 13 cm wide by 8.9 cm tall and 2.7 cm front to back. Some of the larger sphalerite crystals measure up to 1.4 cm across. A few of the sphalerite crystals in the grouping, mainly at the perimeter of the rind, are lightly scuffed.
