This piece is from an interesting find of titanium-rich andradite garnets which are rare. This may be schorlomite, but chemical analyses have not come back with sufficient proof to make that claim and change the name. The overall dimensions of this piece are 22 cm wide by 15 cm tall and 10 cm front to back. The largest garnet crystal is 2.5 cm across. The locality for this piece is the High Atlas Mountains, Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco. This piece has damage to only a few crystals.
