A doubly-terminated amethyst crystal has interior zoning making the shape of an hourglass. The piece has mixed luster. The locality is the Adrar Tirecht Bou Oudi, Tata Province, Guelmim-Es Semara Region, Morocco. The overall dimensions of the specimen are 2.3 cm wide by 3.4 cm tall and 2.1 cm front to back. There is a little bruising to a few crystal edges.
